Super light handmade porcelain brooch. Designed and made by me in my studio in East Oxford, each is one of a kind.
 
I use coloured pigments mixed with white porcelain to create colours and patterns within the clay. After firing, the brooch is polished to create a smooth tactile surface. 
 
Approx Size:
Porcelain Semi circle: approx 6cm x 3cm
Silver plated brooch finding with safety clip: 2cm
 
Gifting:
Each brooch comes wrapped and carefully packaged in a pillow box.
 
Care Instructions:
The porcelain is fired to a high temperature and is a strong material. However, it can still be fragile if dropped onto a hard surface so I would recommend putting on and taking off your jewellery over a soft surface.
 
If any marks get onto your jewellery, you can wash them off with soap and water.
 
There may be subtle differences in the finished surface of the brooches, as they are carefully handmade and go through many processes, adding to the character and individuality of the peice.
 
It is important to me as a maker to consider the environmental impact of my work. This is an ongoing process and I'm always looking for ways to make changes in the studio. When sending out my work, all packaging is plastic -free. You can find more about my current approach here.
