Making Journal #8

Images, and a few notes from the studio as I develop new works.

I've returned to working with porcelain again recently as I wanted to capture the translucency and movement within the clay as the pieces are rolled into shape. I was able to achieve this to an extent with stoneware clay, but there feels like so much more fluidity with porcelain.

These are part of a new body of work, each made using hand coloured clay, which is layered, cut and reconfigured.
