Images, and a few notes from the studio as I develop new works.
Shown above are the fired pieces created in the last post. The base is created from reclaimed porcelain - all of the pieces from jewellery making that I've been collecting for years. This means that there will be an unknown mix of colours, so these first ones were a bit of a surprise, and a darker grey than I expected.
I was really exploring the possibilities of the porcelain with layering, aiming to create sections that translate the ephemeral nature of cloud-like forms. There is so much more to experiment with here. I've shown a couple more test pieces below.
